Spread Your Wings Instagram (@SpreadYourWingsUK) was started to spread awareness of life with Angelman Syndrome when Leo (born in 2021) was diagnosed with this rare neurogenetic condition which affects around 1 in 15,000 people. Leo spreads love and joy to his family and beyond with his radiant smile and infectious laugh, but like all Angelman children, he faces many challenges with severe physical and learning difficulties.

Leo's family registered Spread Your Wings as a charity (No 1201650) in 2023 with 3 objectives.

Firstly to relieve the need of families affected by Angelman Syndrome and similar conditions by funding equpiment, therapy and other essential services. Secondly by funding research into treatments and cures for Angelman Syndrome. Thirdly by increasing and improving the opportunities for children with Angelman and similar conditions to take part in phyical activities and sports.

Everything we do is run by volunteers, keeping our costs to a minimum, which means your donations go to the people who need them most. We are registered with the Fundraising Regulator so you know we are legal, open, honest and respectful.
